My work with couples is strongly influenced by Imago Relationship Theory, and by the work of the Gottman Love Lab.
John Gottman, Ph.D and Julie Schwartz Gottman, Ph.D, have been studying and treating couples for decades. Their principles are straightforward, yet powerful, in teaching partners strategies for making their relationships work. The Gottmans help couples focus on each other, paying attention to the small moments that make up the heart and soul of any relationship, and this attention provides a solid foundation for resolving conflict and for learning to live with the conflicts that cannot be resolved.
My work with families is heavily influenced by Systems Theory.

A Little About Me…
There is a crack in everything… that is how the light gets in…
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been pursuing and enjoying my private psychotherapy practice since 1990; most of the last 20 years have been in the South Bend area. My extensive training allows me to use a variety of client centered approaches including Gestalt, mindfulness, and EMDR to help my clients embrace the healing they desire both personally and relationally.
All of this adds up to the reality that I love to meet my clients in the moment, right where they are, and partner with them to remove obstacles and to help achieve a more open, mindful and engaged life.

Please park in any spot marked ‘2 Hour Visitor Parking,’ located on the west side of the building, or along the East Race. Then, walk back onto Colfax Avenue, and enter Colfax Avenue door. You will go up the stairs, and turn right. Look to your right – you will see Suite 114. My name is on the door. There is wheelchair accessibility. For that, I recommend you park along the East Race. From those parking spaces, you will see the ramp. Once inside the building, follow signs to Suite 114.
Attention New Clients: After you have scheduled your first appointment, please read the Counseling Services Agreement, and the Privacy Practices Notice found below.
